Who are you?
The Manager of Healthcare Analytics is an experienced and highly skilled manager who will lead our growing team of data analysts and business analysts. This individual will be responsible for driving key healthcare medical economics initiatives, providing data-driven insights, and developing strategies to optimize health outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in healthcare medical economics, SQL, Python, and other relevant analytic tools, as well as a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of our clients' employees.
In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and a business analyst, providing guidance on project prioritization, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.
Develop and implement healthcare analytics strategies to support business objectives and drive improvements in health outcomes and cost savings for clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex healthcare data sets, translating findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Design and implement advanced statistical models and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of health programs and interventions.
Provide subject matter expertise on healthcare medical economics, including risk adjustment, healthcare utilization, and cost trends.
Leverage SQL, Python, and other data analytics tools to manipulate and analyze large data sets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner, while also tailoring presentations and reports to various audiences.
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners, ensuring alignment of data and analytics initiatives with organizational goals and client needs.
Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in healthcare analytics, providing recommendations for enhancing Virgin Pulse's analytic capabilities and offerings.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the analytics team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and best practices in healthcare analytics.

What you bring to the Virgin Pulse team
In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., health economics, statistics, mathematics, or computer science) is preferred; however, a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in place of a degree.; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL, Python, and other data analysis tools and languages.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare industry trends, medical economics principles, and risk adjustment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges up to $144,000 annually. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for [10%] target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
